The contract for the restoration of the Euclid Beach Amusement Park Carrousel, PTC #19,
was given to Carousel Magic of Mansfield, Ohio. As the restoration progressed it was
determined that the carrousel originally had 58 horses instead of the 54 that were returned to
Cleveland from Old Orchard Beach. The loss of these horses must have occurred between the closing
of Euclid Beach Park and the operation of the merry-go-round at Palace Playland.
Cleveland Tomorrow, who purchased the carrousel for eventual operation, is involved in the
fund raising for the restoration of the ride and the erection of a new building to house it.
The proposed site is in Cleveland's North Coast Harbor. Cleveland Tomorrow has decided
to replace the four missing horses. They have invited Euclid Beach Park
Now
to spearhead the fund-raising campaign to have four new horses carved.
Also, EPBN is offering a "Commemorative" Brass Ring souvenirs.
